The rainy MMFF Parade of Stars 2018
The damp weather did not stop Metro Manila Film Festival stars from attending the MMFF Parade of Stars 2018 held in Parañaque City on Sunday afternoon.
Colorful movie floats of MMFF entries "Aurora," "Fantastica," "The Girl in the Orange Dress," "Jack Em Poy," "Mary, Marry Me," "One Great Love," "Otlum," and "Rainbow's Sunset" paraded down the wet streets of Parañaque.
Kalyeserye Sweetheart Maine Mendoza and Bossing Vic Sotto will be starring in "Jack Em Poy," while Kapuso Primetime King Dingdong Dantes will be in "Fantastica." Kapuso Drama King Dennis Trillo will be on "One Great Love," Kapuso star Sheena Halili is one of the stars in "The Girl in the Orange Dress" while Kapuso stars Gloria Romero and Sunshine Dizon will be starring in "Rainbow's Sunset."
Stuck in mud, stuck in traffic
According to a report on GMA's 24 Oras, due to the non-stop drizzle some floats got stuck in the muddy parking area in Parañaque City, causing a minor delay. Other floats were also obstructed by the excited fans.
Meanwhile, heavy traffic was observed in Sucat, Parañaque and Skyway-Sucat.
In a separate report, Super Radyo dzBB's Manny Vargas said that the Parade of Stars caused gridlock on MIA Road, EDSA Pasay westbound, and Roxas Boulevard's southbound lanes.
