Heart Evangelista to become a 'Starstruck' judge in 2019

Kapuso fashion darling Heart Evangelista will be one of the judges of GMA Network’s talent competition show “Starstruck” in 2019.

Heart announced the news at her contract signing with GMA Artist Center on Thursday.

 

 

"I will be doing a show with GMA next year, definitely for Starstruck. I will be one of the judges and that's nice kasi I always wanted to be that," Heart said.

 

 

Although it's something she's been wanting to do, Heart said since it will be her first time she still has to practice how to say no to a contestant.

"Yes, it's my first time, sa pagbabalik ng Starstruck after two years. Hindi ko lang alam paano ko sasabihin, 'I'm sorry it's a no.' I don't know how, but I'm very excited for that," Heart said.

When reporters asked what she's looking for in a contestant in Starstruck, Heart said it won't just be about the looks but a specific spark about somebody who's meant to do greater things.

"You know wala siyang specific quality, it's either you have it or you don't. That's for me, yes definitely, that's the X factor but there's a spark about somebody. It's not about how you look, it's not about how great of a singer you are, there's just  something about who you are that makes you different," Heart said.

"I think that's something I want to look for. So kahit shy sila you'll know, even if they don't do their best sa audition you'll just know that this person was meant to do great things, so 'yon siguro 'yong hahanapin ko," she added.

Heart said that she's also planning for a telanovela and trips to Singapore Thailand and Hong Kong for work, adding one of her trips will involve a magazine cover. — LA, GMA News
