Fra Lippo Lippi lead vocalist Per Sorensen on Filipino fans: 'They sing very loud and beautiful'
The lead vocalist of Norwegian band Fra Lippo Lippi, Per Sorensen, said he loves playing the Philippines because of the fans.
In a report on Balitanghali, Nelson Canlas said Per and the rest of the band has been returning to the Philippines because they love how receptive Filipinos are.
"It's just great to play here, because you know the Filipinos are very open, and you know they don't hold back their feelings. If they want to sing, they sing and they sing very loud and beautiful," Per told GMA News.
No longer playing with his former bandmates, Per will fire up the stage with his two sons Oscar and Jack on December 6, Newport Performing Arts. They will be accompanied by the Manila Philippine Orchestra.
Fra Lippo Lippi popularized the songs "Beauty and Madness," "Everytime I See You," and "Stitches and Burns."
The band first visited the Philippines in 1988. And upon his return 30 years later, Per says he has shared stories about his experiences in the Philippines to his children. — Jannielyn Ann Bigtas/LA, GMA News
