Paolo Contis and Alessandra de Rossi talk about working on new movie, 'Through Night and Day'

Bubble Gang comedian Paolo Contis and his new leading lady Alessandra de Rossi talked about their working chemistry in their upcoming OctoArts film "Through Night And Day."

Alex said it was easy to get comfortable with Paolo because not only have they been friends since high school, they have also worked in several projects before, including "Spirit of the Glass" and "One Night Only."

"Hindi kami barkada na nagkikita, nag-uusap. Okay lang talaga kami na magkatrabaho. Kapag nagkikita kami, no holds barred; parang ganon lang siya, may tiwala lang talaga sa tao, pero di kami 'yong once a month, once a year, kamusta kayo diyan," Alex said during the movie's press conference on Tuesday.

Meanwhile, Paolo thinks their long term friendship helped them portray their roles: they are a couple who has been together for 13 years and has grown far too familiar with each other.

"Kasi kami ni Alex, we've been friends for a long time, so tingin ko rin 'pag sa kuwento ni Ben at tsaka ni Jen, 'pag 20 years na kayo magkakilala, 13 years na kayo magka-relasyon, ano pa ba 'yong bawal pag-usapan," Paolo said.

He added, "Kami naman ni Alex naka-ilang pelikula na kami with OctoArts, magkaibigan na kaming matagal, kumbaga wala na ring bawal pag-usapan."

Even the director of the film Veronica Velasco noticed the one-of-a-kind chemistry between the two. 

"Maaliw kayo na kahit na sa sasakyan lang sila, nag-uusap lang, makikita mo 'yong komportable sila sa isa't isa. Makikita mo rin na kakaiba 'yong kilig dito kasi parang brutal eh, aside from 'yong relationship nila 'yong rapor nila, dagdag pa d'on 'yong kung ano 'yong itsura ng Iceland," Direk Ronnie said. 

"Through Night and Day" follows the story of the newly engaged couple Ben and Jen who have been together for 13 years. They took a trip to Iceland, Jen's lifelong dream destination, where they'll be facing conflicts and misfortunes together, all while keeping their relationship alive.

It will be in Philippine cinemas starting on November 14.
