Ellen Adarna has given birth

Ellen Adarna gave birth last June 27.

Her lawyer Rebo Saguisag confirmed the development on Monday at the Pasig City Prosecutor’s Office, citing it as the reason she couldn’t attend the preliminary hearings of the child abuse and cybercrime complaint filed against her.

Her lawyers have instead submitted a sworn counter affidavit. The next hearing is slated for July 16.

A week ago, Ellen's rumored boyfriend John Lloyd Cruz took to Instagram to react to reports that Ellen's baby has been baptized. "F — fake news," he wrote.

Ellen herself has not commented about the issue. Her lawyer had previously confirmed her pregnancy in an earlier pre-trial hearing about the case, citing her delicate condition as reason for not attending the proceedings.

She has been sued by Myra and Roel Santos, who accused her of cyberbullying and cybercrime over social media posts accusing their daughter of taking paparazzi shots of her and John Lloyd at a ramen restaurant in Makati.   —LA/JST, GMA News
