Drew Arellano doing films in the future? 'It's probably not gonna happen'
"Biyahe ni Drew" host Drew Arellano said he won't be starring in any films soon.
At the press conference of "Home Foodie" where Drew and Iya are hosts, he told the media that acting is currently not in his plans.
When he was asked by the press if he wanted to star in a movie like Kapuso journalist Atom Araullo, he jokingly answered, "Alam mo gusto ko nga eh para magkaroon ako ng comments sa mga director."
He followed it with another joke saying he wants to have a kissing scene, "'Di pero ang pinakagusto ko talaga, dahil ako palaging host, host, host, gusto ko naman magkaroon ng kissing scene... sa kanya," he said as he pointed at Iya.
He continued and answered it seriously this time and said doing a movie project will "probably" not happen for him.
"Kidding aside, no I don't think they'll like me. Even though they would want me to be part of a film, it's probably not gonna happen. I'm not sure if I can act," Drew said.
Iya agreed and said, "First taping day pa lang, walk out na 'to."
Drew corrected Iya and said, "Hindi walk out, kick out."
"Walkout and kick out," Drew exclaimed.
Although doing films is not in his plans and not his priority at the moment, he said he's not shutting doors.
"I never close doors. I guess it's not really a priority now, the priority is family, work comes third, family is the priority," Drew said.
He said he was already asked to participate in movie projects previously.
"Before yes, but I think they know naman na it's a good idea naman not to get me, that's not really my problem."
In the small chance Drew would star in a film he said he might as long as it's comedy and not drama.
"Basta comedy okay lang, pero pag mga drama..."
Iya and Drew are back together as hosts of the morning cooking show "Home Foodie" for its fourth season which will air on June 11 on GMA-7 after Unang Hirit. — LA, GMA News
