‘Contessa’ star Glaiza de Castro looking forward to making new music and ‘fierce’ movie project

Kapuso actor Glaiza de Castro is looking forward to making a new movie and producing new music once her hit series "Contessa" concludes. 

"After 'Contessa', I'm really planning to make more music, tapos siguro din I'll be doing a film," Glaiza told GMA News Online in an interview during the launch of show brand Butterfly Twists' new collection.

She said she's excited to do the upcoming film project, "Pero hindi ko sure kung puwede na bang sabihin, but I'm really excited kasi ang ganda ng material, it's something na talagang excited akong gawin."

Glaiza on getting empowering roles

She said her role in her upcoming project will have one attribute similar to most of the roles she's been getting throughout her acting career: "empowerment."

"Alam mo 'yong parang pag binabalikan ko 'yong portfolio ko, 'pag binabalikan ko 'yong mga roles before, hindi mawawala 'yong element ng empowerment, though fierce andun na 'yon, katulad ni Contessa, fierce siya, 'yong lumalaban talaga, strong-willed, 'yong ipaglalaban 'yong karapatan niya. May element na ganon sa pelikula na gagawin ko," she said.

The actor said the roles and projects she attracts mostly speak about her personality.

"In a way conscious pero mas nauuna 'yong coincidence eh, tapos fina-follow ko na lang 'yon, kung meron mang mga dumating na for example hindi ko masyado trip, konti-konti lang, pero most of the time 'yong mga naattract kong project, speaks about myself."

Glaiza released an album entitled "Magandang Simulan" in 2017  and "Glaiza Synthesis" in 2015. She last starred in a film as Gem in "Sleepless" in 2015. — AT, GMA News
