Ehra Madrigal opens up about Antique sea accident


Ehra Madrigal has opened up about her Holy Week ordeal in Antique as she survived the capsizing of a boat in open sea.

The former Kapuso star took to Instagram on Thursday to tell her fans about the experience.

"hi everyone! it’s been a week since our boat capsized in antique. i’m more than grateful that we survived!!! LORD, thank you so much for this second life! 3 hours in that sea was no joke! my life is forever changed after this tragic accident," she wrote.

"still recuperating at home and taking meds and antibiotics coz i have pneumonia and asthma from drinking seawater and inhaling too much gasoline. i may have some bruises, sunburn and bouts of anxiety attack (everything is totally sinking in now) but my spirit is definitely stronger! i just have so much love to give! will get better coz i can’t wait to see and hug all my loved ones and friends soon!" she added.

A speedboat capsized in waters off Sebaste, Antique on Thursday morning. The driver of the speedboat, Benny Dable, 50, died of stroke and was declared dead on arrival at the Justice Calixto Zaldivar Memorial Hospital.

Ehra and her husband Tom Yeung, actress Bianca Manalo, and Pandan town Mayor Jonathan Tan were among those who survived the accident.

Ehra thanked her fans for reaching out with messages of concern.
