Donnie Geisler takes bro-in-law's side in Baron mess

Donnie Geisler has opened up about the recent controversy involving his brother Baron and brother-in-law Michael Morales.

The former taekwondo champion detailed his take in a lengthy Facebook post on Tuesday, hours after Baron was arrested for allegedly running amok outside Michael's home.

"My brother in law Mike did what he had to do to protect his family. Mike loves and takes care of Baron like a brother ever since he met my sister Grace. When Mom had Cancer they decided to get a house wherein they could be close by to help take care of Mom," Donnie wrote.

"Mom died last year January 2017 and Baron took over the house so they are literally neighbors, Baron has been a burden to Mike and my sisters family most especially when he’s intoxicated."

Baron was caught on video running amok in front of his brother-in-law's house on Monday. At one point of the cellphone video, Baron's sister Grace Gail Geisler-Morales asked him to undergo rehabilitation.

Angeles City policemen went to the Moraleses' home after Michael reported on the phone that the actor had a kitchen knife and was threatening to kill him. SPO3 Celso Nicdao said cases of Grave Threats, Alarm and Scandal and Violation of B.P. 6 (Illegal Possession of Deadly Weapons) had been filed against Baron.

Calling the past few days "very difficult" for his family, Donnie apologized for the recent incident involving Baron, who he described as being very depressed after their mother's passing.

"Many times he got involved in many problems and at one point I had to bail him out of jail," Donnie said.

"Our Mother got him help numerous times in the past like rehabilitation and meetings with psychologists but with no success because he takes the treatment lightly."

Donnie said the latest incident gives them hope that it would give Baron an opportunity to get the help he needed.

"Don’t get me wrong, but we the family love Baron and this has been the sad reality of what our family has been experiencing and it is hard to make anyone comprehend and I wouldn’t want anybody else to experience it," Donnie said.

"Rest assured that the family is doing its best to find the best solution to resolve the matter privately. I am hoping for your understanding and prayers." —JST, GMA News
