Veteran actor Chinggoy Alonso dies after battle with colon cancer

Veteran actor Chinggoy Alonso died on Sunday night after a battle with colon cancer. He was 67 years old.

According to a report on Balitanghali, Alonso’s body lies in wake at the Garden of Divine Word Christ the King on E. Rodriguez Avenue in Quezon City.

A well-known stage, TV, and film actor, Alonso played Evades in “Encantadia” and was last seen in the teledrama “Hahamakin Ang Lahat” last year. — LA/BM, GMA News
