Derrick Monasterio, meanwhile, looked his dapper best as he presented the longest strand of south sea pearls from Jewelmer, which fetched an impressive P850,000 for charity.
Organizer Tessa Prieto-Valdes announced that a portion of the proceeds will go to pearl farmers and their families, so that they too might feel the generosity that was overflowing that night.
Gil Cuerva had the honor of presenting the lot that fetched the highest bid: a sapphire and diamond necklace by Emperor Watch & Jewellery. The item went to Dr. Vicki Belo, who offered P1,000,000.
