Marian Rivera in 'Super Ma'am' suit stirs up nostalgic feels of her 'Darna' days

Marian Rivera's return to primetime in her "Super Ma'am" costume evokes nostalgic feels of her "Darna" days.

While her 2009-Darna costume depicts a sexier image with a red and gold two-piece suit, everyone can't help but set it side-by-side with her "Super Ma'am" costume.

On the upcoming fantasy series, Marian will don the "Super Ma'am" battle armor: a blue, red and black crop top, a pair of black jeans, black leather hand wraps, black boots, gold wrist bracelets and a lasso rope.

The Kapuso Primetime Queen is playing Minerva Henerala, a teacher who transforms into a super hero, who slays Tamawos, a mythical glowing winged-creature who abducts children to feed on their youthful energy. Hence, "Super Ma'am".

The two fictional characters may fight against different nemesis and have disparate superpowers, but there's something about Marian playing a role of a superhero who saves the day from the bad guys. — Jannielyn Ann Bigtas/LA, GMA News
