After ten years together, Mike Tan and girlfriend won’t tie the knot just yet

Already ten years together but Mike Tan and his non-showbiz girlfriend won't get married just yet.

Tan, however, said marriage was something they had talked about as early as several years ago.

"Dati pa, probably eight years ago pa, napag-uusapan na," Tan said in an interview after his contract-signing with GMA Network on Tuesday.

However, the 30-year-old actor said that the wedding won't be any time soon.

"Matanda na ko, oo, pero hindi pa sa ngayon... mga three to four years pa," Tan said.

In a 2015 interview with PEP.ph, Tan said he and his girlfriends still had eyes set on their respective goals.

He said he still wanted to make his mark as an actor.

"May gusto pa akong gawin, may gusto pa akong patunayan... Gusto kong magbigay ng mark sa showbiz, actually sa GMA, na ‘eto ako, ito yung abilidad ko, ito yung kakayahan ko," Tan said.

"May sari-sarili pa kaming goals at siya rin meron," he added.

Tan said that his secret to keeping the long relationship healthy was to remain open and be generous with each other's time.

"Pagiging open. Kung ano yung nararamdaman mo, kung ano yung secrets mo. No secrets... Time. Kailangan mo ibigay sa kanila ang time," Tan said.

"Tapos kailangan nakikinig ka sa kanila. Hindi pwedeng nairirnig mo lang sila. Kailangan nakikinig ka sa kanila. Yan ang napatunayan ko for 10 years," he added. —NB, GMA News
