Bea Binene on Derrick Monasterio: A true friend

Despite playing lovers onscreen, Kapuso actress Bea Binene said that her and Derrick Monasterio's relationship is strictly platonic.

But even if they're not in a relationship, Derrick has become very dear to the 19-year-old actress.

"I appreciate him being like that because minsan feeling mo sa showbiz, shinoshowbiz ka lang lahat ng tao," Bea said after the press conference of "Enteng Kabisote 10 & The Abangers" on Thursday.

"So siya I know that he's a true friend," she added.

She said that people often see Derrick as a "fun" person," but that she sees and appreciates his serious side.

The two Kapuso stars often spend time together outside of work, such as working out at the gym.

"Tulad kanina tumawag siya sakin, sabi niya 'Saan ka? Gym tayo,'" Bea said.

Bea said that she has never been in a relationship, and is not rushing into it.

One of more immediate goals is to travel, particularly to Maldives.

"I've always wanted to travel," Bea said.

"Ang dream place ko po talaga ay Maldives," she added.

Some of the places she has already visited are Korea, Singapore, and Thailand. —JST, GMA News
