Jaclyn Jose eyeing short but significant Hollywood roles

After her historic success in the 2016 Cannes film festival, Kapuso actress Jaclyn Jose is setting her sights on bigger opportunities.

During an Ask Away Facebook Live session with GMA News Social Media on Tuesday, the Cannes Best Actress awardee revealed that she hopes to land a role in a Hollywood show or film.

It was only after her win that she started considering the idea.

"Until this thing happened...siyempre yung consideration 'di matatanggal sa akin, 'di maiiwasan," Jaclyn said.

However, if the project would entail an at least six-month stay in Hollywood, she might have reservations about it.

"Yung sa akin, to live there, or to do a movie there for six months if ever there's an opportunity, yun medyo hirap ako. Siguro I cannot," Jaclyn said.

"If ever, in God's will, kung may kukuha man, siguro yung mga two sequences lang...or it requires few shooting days pero tatak na tatak na role," she added.

Jaclyn had said in an earlier interview that she prefers to stay local, and wishes that her daughter, Andi Eigenmann, would get an opportunity to land an international project.

Jaclyn won best actress at the Cannes film festival in France last May for her role in "Ma' Rosa."
