Yano song about EDSA People Power not for Marcos loyalists, says Dong Abay
While saying that he was "anti-Aquino," singer and songwriter Dong Abay said his song about the 1986 EDSA People Power Revolution is not for Marcos loyalists.
The former Yano frontman made the pronouncement in a Facebook post discussing the song "Kumusta Na," a track from his old band's 1994 self-titled album.
"Over my dead body. Basahin at unawaing mabuti ang panulat."
In the song, the narrator asks someone who participated in the revolution that toppled the late strongman Ferdinand Marcos how his life has turned out years after the event.
The last verse of the song goes:
Nakita kita kahapon, may hila-hilang kariton
