WATCH: Emotional Eigenmann family gives statement on Mark Gil's death

 

The family of actor Mark Gil gathered together on Monday hours after his death to face the media and give an emotional statement about his passing.

 

Born Raphael Joseph Eigenmann and known to his family and friends as Ralph, Mark succumbed to liver cancer early Monday morning after a two-year battle.

 

His brother, actor Michael De Mesa, read the statement in behalf of rest of the family, who couldn't contain their emotions as the message was being delivered. 

 

The son of actors Eddie Mesa and Rosemarie Gil, Mark Gil was part of one of the most respected showbiz clans in the country. His sister Cherie Gil and brother Michael are also well-known character actors who have made numerous films.

 

He is also the father of actors Gabby Eigenmann (with commercial model/actress Irene Celebre), Sid Lucero (with Bing Pimentel), and Andi Eigenmann (with actress Jaclyn Jose).— JST, GMA News
