Dingdong Dantes recognized as International Youth Ambassador for Peace
2014 has been a very good year for the Primetime King Dingdong Dantes.
He rules the primetime airwaves via the very successful "Ang Dalawang Mrs. Real." Last March, he earned his college diploma from West Negros University. Two months after his graduation, he was named commissioner-at-large by the National Youth Commission.
Blessings seemed to be overflowing for our champ. On August 3, a day after his birthday, Dingdong Dantes was recognized as International Youth Ambassador for Peace in a ceremony held at the Cuneta Astrodome during the 2nd International Youth Assembly.
The recognition was presented by the United Peace Federation and Youth Federation for World Peace in a gathering that aimed to "strengthen the youth, rebuild nations, and promote peace."
Dingdong's partner Marian Rivera was with him during the event.
"Congratulations Mr. International Youth Ambassador for Peace! ??Masaya ako na nakasama mo ako para ma witness itong event na ito. Kakaproud ka. #SuperHug #NYC" she wrote on a photo posted on Instagram.
Dingdong has been involved with various socio-civic projects through the Yes! Pinoy Foundation, a non-government organization he founded in 2009. Yes! Pinoy Foundation has been extending educational assistance to the youth by rehabilitating classrooms, donating books, and awarding scholarships. — CJ Mendoza, GMANetwork.com
