Class suspensions for Wednesday, October 23, 2024

Classes for Wednesday, October 23, 2024, have been suspended in some areas due to the effects of Tropical Storm Kristine.

On Tuesday evening, Malacañang announced that classes in all levels, as well as government work, in the whole of Luzon will be suspended.

Only those agencies whose functions involve the delivery of basic and health services, preparedness/response to disasters and calamities, and/or the performance of other vital services shall continue with their operations. 

The suspension of work for private companies and offices is left to the discretion of their officials.

Below are local government units' announcements of suspension of classes:

Region I (Ilocos Region)

• Dagupan City
• Pangasinan province - all levels, public and private

Region III (Central Luzon)

• Angeles City - all levels, public and private
• Aurora province - all levels, public and private
• Bataan province - all levels, public and private
• Bulacan province - all levels, public and private (shift to online classes or modular distance learning)
• Cabanatuan City, Nueva Ecija - all levels, public and private

Region IV-A (Calabarzon)

• Cavite province - all levels, public and private
• Laguna province - all levels, public and private
• Rizal province - all levels, public and private

Region V (Bicol Region)

• Albay province 

Metro Manila

• Caloocan City - all levels, public and private
• Mandaluyong City - all levels, public and private
• City of Manila - all levels, public and private
• Muntinlupa City - all levels, public and private
• Pasay City - all levels, public and private
• Pasig City - all levels, public and private
• Quezon City - all levels, public and private
• Valenzuela City - all levels, public and private (shift to online classes for college)

Mimaropa

• Occidental Mindoro:
