Class suspensions for Friday, April 26, 2024

Face-to-face classes for Friday, April 26, 2024, have been suspended in some areas due to high heat conditions.

Schools in these areas have been advised to shift to asynchronous classes or alternative learning modalities. In the areas where private schools are not specified, the suspension of in-person classes is left to the discretion of school authorities.

Metro Manila

• Caloocan City - all levels, public and private
• Las Piñas City - all levels, public and private
• Malabon City - all levels, public
• City of Manila - all levels, public and private
• Muntinlupa City - all levels, public
• Parañaque City - all levels, public and private
• Pasay City - all levels, public and private
• Quezon City - heat index expected to reach 41°. Public schools automatically shift to asynchronous learning when the heat index reaches 40°.

Provinces

• Bataan - all levels, public and private
• Bulacan - all levels, public; shift to blended learning while El Niño conditions prevail or until a new directive is released (Memorandum DRF-0424204-196)
• Sarangani - all levels, public and private until April 30

Cities and municipalities

• Angeles City - all levels, public and private
• General Trias, Cavite - all levels, public and private
• Imus, Cavite - all levels, public and private
• Tanza, Cavite - kinder to senior high school, public and private
• Iloilo City - all levels, public and private
• Lucena City - all levels, public and private

Schools

• Colegio de San Juan de Letran
• University of the East - UE Manila and UE Caloocan, all levels
• UP Manila
