In Memorandum Circular No. 6, the president said he has given the go-signal to suspend on the recommendation of the National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council (NDRRMC) and "in view of the continuing inclement weather brought about by Super Typhoon Karding."

The memo said the covered regions are the National Capital Region, Regions I, II, III, IV-A (Calabarzon), IV-B (Mimaropa), the Cordillera Administrative Region, and Region V.

It said that suspension of work in private companies, offices and schools are left to the discretion of their respective heads.
