MRT-3, LRT-2 to offer veterans free rides from April 5-11, 2025

The Metro Rail Transit-3 (MRT-3) and the Light Rail Transit-2 (LRT-2) announced on Thursday that they will be offering free rides to war veterans and their companions from April 5 to 11, 2025 in celebration of the 83rd Day of Valor and Philippine Veterans Week. 

To avail of the free rides, veterans must present to security personnel in each station their valid ID issued by the Philippine Veterans Affairs Office (PVAO).

The free MRT-3 rides will be available from 4:30 am to 10:30 pm in the North Avenue Station, and from 5:05 am until 11:09 pm in Taft Avenue Station.

Meanwhile, the free rides on the LRT-2 for the veterans and their companions will be available throughout the day on the said week. 

Further, LRT-2 also said that it will be offering free rides for the public on April 9 from 7:00 a.m. to 9:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. —Vince Angelo Ferreras/RF, GMA Integrated News
