Dimasalang Rd cor. Maceda St and Lacson Ave in Manila closed at certain hours Feb 16-March 2

Dimasalang Road corner Maceda Street and Lacson Avenue in Manila is closed to motorists at certain hours from February 16 to March 2, 2023.

The said area is closed to traffic from 10 p.m. to 5 a.m. on those days, according to a report by Darlene Cay on Unang Balita on Tuesday.

The temporary road closure is implemented to give way to the installation of a steel box for the NLEX-SLEX Connector Road Project Section 1, according to the Metropolitan Manila Development Authority.

During this period, the private contractor will remove the safety net and brackets from Pier 116 to Pier 117.

The adjacent roads such as Basilio and Instruccion Streets to Blumentritt remain open to motorists.

The NLEX-SLEX Connector Road, a public-private partnership project of the government and the Metro Pacific Tollways Corp., links the North and South Luzon Expressways.

It starts from C3 Road in Caloocan City and goes through Manila, crossing over España Boulevard towards Polytechnic University of the Philippines in Sta. Mesa and connecting Metro Manila Skyway Stage 3. —KG, GMA Integrated News
