Binondo-Intramuros Bridge closed for Chinese New Year countdown, fireworks

The Binondo-Intramuros Bridge in Manila was closed to traffic on Saturday to give way to the preparations and celebration for the Chinese New Year.

Entrances to the bridge via Madrid Street, Riverside Drive, and Prensa Street were closed to motorists, according to a report on News Live.

Fireworks for the Chinese New Year countdown will be placed at the bridge on Saturday.

Motorists were advised to take alternate routes.

The countdown will be held toward midnight, to be capped by a fireworks display.

Residents and visitors may view the fireworks from Jones Bridge, the Manila City Government said. —KG, GMA Integrated News
