Zipper lane to be implemented on Quezon Avenue westbound in QC starting Dec. 5, 2022
Motorists using the Quezon Avenue westbound lanes in Quezon City will be able to use the zipper lane heading to Manila starting Monday, December 5, 2022, the Department of Transportation (DOTr) said.
The zipper lane will be open from 6 a.m. to 8 a.m., the DOTr said.
Vehicles may enter the zipper lane starting in front of Lung Center of the Philippines.
The zipper lane passes through the EDSA underpass and ends at the U-turn slot in front of Providence Hospital.
The DOTr said the implementation of the zipper lane "shall study the possible effects to the current traffic flow along Elliptical Road and Quezon Avenue as basis for the establishment of the active and public transport infrastructures for the benefit of all road users."
A dry run will be held starting Saturday, December 3, from 6 a.m. to 8 a.m., according to the Quezon City government. —KG, GMA Integrated News
