PNR cancels trips on Sunday, Oct. 30, 2022, to check tracks after Paeng onslaught
The Philippine National Railways (PNR) canceled trips on Sunday, October 30, 2022, to give way to the inspection of tracks and bridges following the onslaught of Tropical Storm Paeng (international name: Nalgae) across Luzon.
In an announcement posted on Facebook, the PNR said the trips were canceled to ensure passenger safety.
The PNR asked the public for understanding and said it will issue updates soon.
On Saturday, the PNR also canceled trips starting at 9 a.m. to ensure passengers' safety amid the bad weather caused by Paeng.
As of 5 a.m. on Sunday, Paeng was traversing the West Philippine Sea but is still causing rains in parts of the country.
Tropical Cyclone Wind Signal No. 2 was hoisted over nine areas on Sunday morning due to Paeng. —KG, GMA News
