PNR cancels trips, LRT2 suspends Libreng Sakay for students on Oct. 29, 2022 due to Paeng
The Philippine National Railways (PNR) announced the temporary cancellation of trips while the Light Rail Transit-Line 2 (LRT2) canceled the free rides for students on Saturday, October 29, 2022, as Severe Tropical Storm Paeng (international name: Nalgae) traverses Luzon.
The PNR said the trips were canceled starting at 9 a.m. to ensure passengers' safety amid the bad weather caused by Paeng.
The Light Rail Transit Authority (LRTA) meanwhile said its Libreng Sakay for students will be temporarily suspended on Saturday, October 29, starting at 10 a.m.
This was after classes were canceled in several areas due to Paeng.
Tropical Cyclone Wind Signal (TCWS) No. 3 was raised at 11 a.m. over Metro Manila, Marinduque, the northern and central portions of Quezon including Pollilo Islands, Laguna, Batangas, Cavite, Rizal, Bataan, the southern portion of Zambales and Lubang Islands.
TCWS No. 2 meanwhile was hoisted over the northwestern portion of Sorsogon, the western portion of Masbate including Burias Island, Camarines Sur, Camarines Norte, Oriental Mindoro, Occidental Mindoro, the rest of Quezon, Romblon, Nueva Ecija, Pangasinan, Albay, the southern portion of Aurora, Bulacan, Pampanga, Tarlac, the rest of Zambales, the northwestern portion of Antique, and the western portion of Aklan.
TCWS No. 1 on the other hand was raised over Isabela, Nueva Vizcaya, Quirino, Abra, Kalinga, Ifugao, Mountain Province, Benguet, Ilocos Sur, La Union, the rest of Aurora, Catanduanes, the rest of Sorsogon, the rest of Masbate including Ticao Island, the northern portion of Palawan including Calamian and Cuyo Islands, Northern Samar, Samar, Eastern Samar, Biliran, Leyte, Southern Leyte, Cebu including Bantayan and Camotes Islands, Bohol, Negros Occidental, Negros Oriental, Guimaras, the rest of Aklan, the rest of Antique, Capiz and Iloilo. —KG, GMA News
