MRT, LRT, PNR resume train operations after Karding disrupted ops


Train operations resumed on Monday, a day after Typhoon Karding disrupted trips.

The Metro Rail Transit-Line 3 (MRT3) resumed normal operations, with trips starting at 4:36 a.m. at the North Avenue station and 5:18 a.m. at the Taft Avenue station.

The last trips on Monday are scheduled at 9:30 p.m. at the North Avenue station and 10:11 p.m. at the Taft Avenue station.

 

 

 

The Light Rail Manila Corporation meanwhile announced that the Light Rail Transit-Line 1 (LRT1) resumed train operations in all 19 stations from Baclaran to Balintawak at 5 a.m. on Monday.

 

 

 

Operations at the Light Rail Transit-Line 2 (LRT2) were also running smoothly on Monday morning, with eight trains running as of 7:25 a.m.

 

 

 

As for the Philippine National Railways (PNR), some trips resumed on Monday morning, such as those on the Tutuban-Alabang and vice versa, Tutuban-Gov. Pascual and vice versa, and Naga-Sipocot and vice versa routes.

 

 

 

 

 

 

Operations in other PNR routes have yet to resume as of posting time due to the effects of Typhoon Karding.

On Sunday, as Karding passed through the Luzon landmass, the MRT3 and LRT1 shortened their operating hours, while the PNR suspended trips to areas affected by Karding. —KG, GMA News
