LRT1 operations suspended from April 14-17 for annual maintenance
Light Rail Transit Line 1 (LRT1) operations will be suspended from April 14 to 17 due to annual maintenance, the Light Rail Manila Corporation (LRMC) said on Wednesday.
“LRMC is set to conduct its annual maintenance activities to continuously provide safe and reliable transportation system. There will be a temporary suspension of LRT1 operations from 14 April (Maundy Thursday) to 17 April 2022 (Easter Sunday),” LRMC said in a Facebook post.
For the rest of its 2022 Holy Week schedule, LRMC said regular operating hours will be followed, with the first train leaving at 4:30 a.m. from April 11 to 13.
The last train from Baclaran Station will operate at 9:15 p.m., while that from Balintawak Station will be at 9:30 p.m.
LRT1’s operating hours will go back to normal on April 18.
Earlier, the Metro Rail Transit Line 3 (MRT3) management said train operations would be suspended from April 13 to 17 to give way to annual maintenance. Normal operations will resume on April 18.—Giselle Ombay/VBL, GMA News
