Adriatico Street in Manila closed for SEA Games
The Manila Police District closed to traffic beginning Saturday night the northbound and southbound lanes of Adriatico Street from Pres. Quirino Avenue to P. Ocampo Street in Malate, Manila, due to the Southeast Asian Games 2019, according to a report by Manny Vargas on Super Radyo dzBB.

The road closure will be in effect for the duration of the Games.

Vehicles affected will be rerouted as follows:
- From P. Ocampo St. westbound coming from Taft Ave., go straight to Buendia to point of destination.
- From P. Ocampo Street eastbound, vehicles intending to travel on Adriatico Street must proceed to Taft Avenue.
- From Pres. Quirino Avenue westbound, vehicles intending to go to Adriatico Street may go straight to Roxas Boulevard and go their way from there.
- From Pres. Quirino Avenue eastbound, vehicles intending to go to Adriatico Street should take Taft Avenue then to destination.
The Rizal Memorial Sports Complex on P. Ocampo St. is one of the venues of the SEA Games 2019.
The SEA Games 2019 will be held in the country from Nov. 30 to Dec. 11.
The Metropolitan Manila Development Authority earlier advised the public of traffic disruption and chokepoint areas during the SEA Games 2019.
The following thoroughfares were identified by the MMDA as chokepoint areas during the 12-day activity of the SEA Games:
- SLEX northbound
- Mindanao Avenue-North Ave to NLEX
- Roxas Blvd corner Buendia
- Roxas Blvd corner P. Ocampo
- Roxas Blvd P. Burgos
- Taft Avenue corner P. Ocampo
- Adriatico RMSC Area,
- Quirino corner Adriatico
- Shaw Boulevard corner Pioneer
- N. Domingo-FilOil
- Lawton Avenue corner Bayani Road
MMDA chair Danilo Lim said the agency will implement a stop-and-go traffic scheme on EDSA and other major roads and intersections to give way to convoys heading to the venues. —KG, GMA News
