Some lanes of Marcos Highway in Antipolo to be closed for LRT construction
Motorists are advised to expect heavy traffic on Marcos Highway in Antipolo City as some lanes have been closed starting Thursday to give way to the construction of the Masinag Station of the Light Rail Transit 2 (LRT 2).
According to a report by Victoria Tulad on Unang Balita on Thursday, two lanes each on the eastbound and westbound directions will be closed from June 1 to July 13, 2018.
The closure of lanes will be from Cornel Hospital to SM City Masinag.

Motorists coming from Sumulong Highway going to Cubao or C-5 Road are advised to take A. Bonifacio Avenue and Aurora Boulevard or Ortigas Avenue.
Those coming from Cubao or C-5 Road may use the A. Bonifacio-Sumulong Highway.

The Department of Transportation (DOTr) said that once the Masinag Station is finished, the LRT 2 will have an additional four kilometers in its line from Santolan, Pasig City.
The usual three hours' travel time from Recto, Manila to Antipolo will be shortened to 40 minutes.
Another LRT 2 station near Sta. Lucia in Cainta will be constructed. It will be called the Emerald Station.
The LRT 2 East Extension project is expected to be finished in August 2018.
It will be fully operational in the first quarter of 2019. —KG, GMA News
