Frontal system to keep bringing rains over northern Luzon

Cloudy skies with rains will continue to persist over extreme northern Luzon in the next 24 hours, PAGASA said Monday afternoon.

In its 5 p.m. weather forecast, the state weather bureau said the affected areas are Batanes, Cagayan, and Apayao.

Meanwhile, the Zamboanga Peninsula, Basilan, Sulu, and Tawi-Tawi will see cloudy skies with scattered rains and thunderstorms due to the easterlies.

These moderate to at times heavy rains may trigger flash floods or landslides.

The easterlies will also bring partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers or thunderstorms to Metro Manila and the rest of the country.

These severe thunderstorms may cause flash floods or landslides.

State meteorologists also said northern Luzon will experience moderate wind and coastal water conditions

Winds will be light to moderate while coastal waters will be slight to moderate throughout the rest of the country.

Sunrise in Metro Manila will be at 5:43 a.m. on Tuesday. —Mariel Celine Serquiña/RF, GMA Integrated News
