ITCZ to affect southern Mindanao

ITCZ to affect southern Mindanao

Several parts of Mindanao will experience cloudy skies and rains because of the Intertropical Convergence Zone (ITCZ), according to PAGASA's early Saturday morning forecast.

Davao Region, SOCCSKSARGEN, Zamboanga Peninsula, Basilan, Sulu, and Tawi-Tawi will see cloudy skies with scattered rains and thunderstorms due to the ITCZ, which could trigger flash floods or landslides.

Partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated light rains are expected in Batanes and Babuyan Islands due to the northeasterly wind flow.

Metro Manila and the rest of the country will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers or thunderstorms because of the easterlies.

Extreme Northern Luzon will experience moderate to strong winds and moderate to rough coastal water conditions, while light to moderate winds and slight to moderate coastal waters are expected in the rest of the country.

The sun will rise over Metro Manila at 5:49 a.m. — VBL, GMA Integrated News
