'Danger level' heat index possible in 2 areas on April 3, 2025

PAGASA predicted that two areas in the country would experience a heat index under “danger level” on Thursday, April 3.

According to its April 2 forecast, the state weather bureau said Iba, Zambales, and Virac (Synop), Catanduanes, will have a heat index of 43°C.

In Metro Manila, a heat index of 37°C is expected to hit NAIA Pasay City and 36°C in Science Garden, Quezon City.

PAGASA categorizes areas with 42°C to 51°C heat index under the danger category, while areas with 52°C and above fall under extreme danger.

Heat stroke is imminent in areas under extreme danger, while heat cramps, exhaustion, and heat stroke are the potential risks under the danger level.
