LPA to bring scattered rains over Western Visayas, MIMAROPA
A low pressure area located west of Palawan will bring scattered rains over Western Visayas and MIMAROPA on Sunday, according to PAGASA's weather forecast.
These areas will also have cloudy skies and thunderstorms. Moderate to at times heavy rains may result in flash floods or landslides.
At 3 a.m. Sunday, the LPA was estimated to be located at 330 km west of Cuyo, Palawan.
Meanwhile, the easterlies are affecting other areas.
Caraga, Davao Region, Eastern Visayas, Bicol Region, and Quezon may expect cloudy skies with scattered rains and thunderstorms due to the easterlies. Flash floods or landslides may result due to moderate to at times heavy rains.
Batanes and Babuyan Islands will have cloudy skies with rains caused by the northeasterly windflow. Some areas may have flash floods or landslides due to moderate to at times heavy rains.
Metro Manila and the rest of the country on the other hand will experience partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers or thunderstorms due to the easterlies. During severe thunderstorms, flash floods or landslides may possibly occur.
Coastal waters will be moderate in Northern Luzon, and slight to moderate in the rest of the country.
