ITCZ to bring rains over Mindanao, Palawan —PAGASA

The Intertropical Convergence Zone (ITCZ) is expected to bring cloudy skies and scattered rains over Mindanao and Palawan in the next 24 hours, PAGASA said Sunday afternoon.

In its latest weather bulletin, the state weather bureau said these moderate to at times heavy rains may cause flash floods or landslides.

The same weather conditions and impacts are expected in Visayas, Bicol Region, and Romblon due to the easterlies.

Meanwhile, partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated light rains will persist over Metro Manila, Ilocos Region, Cordillera Administrative Region, Cagayan Valley, and Central Luzon due to the Northeast Monsoon (Amihan).

The easterlies will also cause partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers or thunderstorms throughout the rest of Luzon.

These severe thunderstorms may trigger flash floods and landslides.

State meteorologists also said winds will be moderate to strong while coastal waters will be moderate to rough in the eastern sections of Southern Luzon and Visayas.

The rest of Luzon and Visayas will see moderate wind and coastal water conditions.

Winds will be light to moderate while coastal waters will be slight to moderate in Mindanao.

Sunrise in Metro Manila will be at 5:58 a.m. on Monday. —Mariel Celine Serquiña/RF, GMA Integrated News
