ITCZ, easterlies, Amihan to bring clouds, rains

The Intertropical Convergence Zone (ITCZ), easterlies, and Northeast Monsoon (Amihan) are affecting parts of the country on Sunday and will cause cloudy skies and rains, PAGASA said.

The ITCZ affecting Mindanao and Palawan will bring cloudy skies with scattered rains and thunderstorms. Moderate to at times heavy rains may possibly result in flash floods or landslides.

Visayas, Catanduanes, Albay, Sorsogon, and Masbate will have cloudy skies with scattered rains and thunderstorms due to the easterlies. Flash floods or landslides may result due to moderate to at times heavy rains.

Metro Manila, Ilocos Region, Cordillera Administrative Region, Cagayan Valley, and Central Luzon may expect partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated light rains due to the monsoon, but no significant impact is foreseen.

Meanwhile, the rest of Luzon is being affected by the easterlies. It will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers or thunderstorms. Flash floods or landslides may result during severe thunderstorms.

Coastal waters will be moderate to rough in the eastern sections of Southern Luzon and Visayas, and moderate in the rest of Luzon and Visayas.

Mindanao will have slight to moderate coastal waters.
