Easterlies to affect most parts of country

The easterlies will affect most parts of the Philippines, the state weather bureau PAGASA said in its forecast Saturday afternoon.
Due to the easterlies, cloudy skies with scattered rains and thunderstorms are expected over Eastern Visayas, Albay, Sorsogon, and Dinagat Islands, and partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers or thunderstorms over Metro Manila and the rest of the country.
The Northeast Monsoon (Amihan) will cause partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated light rains over Batanes and Babuyan Islands.
Flash floods or landslides may occur in some areas as a result of these weather conditions.
Meanwhile, extreme Northern Luzon will have moderate to strong winds with moderate to rough seas.
The rest of the country will experience light to moderate winds with slight to moderate coastal waters.
Sunrise in Metro Manila will be at 6:03 a.m. on Sunday. —Jiselle Anne Casucian/VBL, GMA Integrated News
