PAGASA: 3 areas under danger level heat index on March 15, 2025

PAGASA predicted that three areas in the country will be experiencing a heat index falling under the danger level on Saturday, March 15.

According to the state weather bureau's 5 p.m. heat index forecast on Friday, the following areas will be having heat indexes of 42°C:

• Dagupan City, Pangasinan
• Aparri, Cagayan
• Zamboanga City, Zamboanga del Sur

The following areas will have heat indexes ranging from 33°C to 41°C, falling under the extreme caution category.

41°C:

• Cotabato City, Maguindanao
• Virac (Synop), Catanduanes

40°C:

• Infanta, Quezon
• Puerto Princesa City, Palawan
• Masbate City, Masbate
• BU-Guinobatan, Albay
• Roxas City, Capiz
• Borongan, Eastern Samar

39°C:

• Cuyo, Palawan
• Legazpi City, Albay
• Catarman, Northern Samar
• Catbalogan, Western Samar
• Dipolog, Zamboanga del Norte
• Davao City, Davao del Sur
• Hinatuan, Surigao del Sur

38°C:

• NAIA, Pasay City

• Tanay, Rizal

PAGASA categorizes areas with 42°C to 51°C heat index under the danger category, while areas with 52°C and above fall under extreme danger.

Heat stroke is imminent in areas under extreme danger, while heat cramps, exhaustion and heat stroke are probably risks under the danger level.
