‘Danger level’ heat index expected in 3 areas on March 14, 2025

Three areas in the country are expected to reach a “danger level” heat index on Friday, PAGASA said in its weather advisory on Thursday.
A temperature between 42°C and 51°C is considered in the “danger” category, posing health risks such as heat cramps, heat exhaustion, and heat stroke.
Based on its 5 p.m. March 13 bulletin, PAGASA said Dagupan City, Pangasinan could reach a 44 °C temperature.
Meanwhile, Cuyo, Palawan and Cotabato City, Maguindanao are facing temperature as high as 42°C.
In Metro Manila, a high of 39°C is expected to hit NAIA Pasay City while Science Garden, Quezon City could reach up to 37°C.
Earlier this week, 37 students in Santa Barbara, Pangasinan were reported to have experienced heat exhaustion.
PAGASA earlier said the dry season in 2025 will likely not be as hot when compared to the same period in 2024, but the public should still take precautions over the high heat index.—Mariel Celine Serquiña/RF, GMA Integrated News
