PAGASA: Easterlies to bring isolated rains in parts of PH

State weather bureau PAGASA said the easterlies would affect the eastern portion of the country on Wednesday, bringing isolated rain showers.

Eastern Samar will have cloudy skies with scattered rains and thunderstorms due to the easterlies, while Batanes will have cloudy skies with light rains as a result of the Northeast Monsoon.

Metro Manila and the rest of the country will experience partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers or thunderstorms brought by the easterlies.

Residents are warned against possible flash floods or landslides during severe thunderstorms, PAGASA said.

As of 2 a.m., the weather bureau said no low pressure areas are being monitored for tropical cyclone formation. —LDF/KG, GMA Integrated News
