Amihan to bring cloudy skies, rain over extreme northern Luzon

The Northeast Monsoon (Amihan) will bring cloudy skies and isolated light rains over extreme northern Luzon in the next 24 hours, PAGASA said Monday afternoon.

In its 4 p.m. weather forecast, the state weather bureau said the affected areas are Batanes and Babuyan Islands.

Meanwhile, Aurora, Quezon, Camarines Norte, Camarines Sur, Catanduanes, and Albay will see cloudy skies with scattered rains and isolated thunderstorms due to the easterlies.

These moderate to at times heavy rains may cause flash floods or landslides.

Partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers or thunderstorms will persist over Metro Manila and the rest of the country also due to the easterlies.

These severe thunderstorms may trigger flash floods and landslides.

State meteorologists also said the eastern section of Luzon will experience moderate to strong wind conditions and moderate to rough coastal water conditions.

Winds will be light to moderate while coastal waters will be slight to moderate throughout the rest of the country.

The sun will rise at 6:07 a.m. on Tuesday. — Mariel Celine Serquiña/BM, GMA Integrated News
