Shear line to bring rains over Palawan and Visayas

Palawan and Visayas may expect scattered rains on Sunday as a shear line is affecting these areas, PAGASA said in its weather forecast.

These areas will also have cloudy skies and isolated thunderstorms. Moderate to at times heavy rains may possibly result in flash floods or landslides.

Caraga, Davao Region, Zamboanga Peninsula, Sarangani, Basilan, Sulu, and Tawi-Tawi will have cloudy skies with scattered rains and thunderstorms due to the easterlies. Flash floods or landslides may occur due to moderate to at times heavy rains.

Cagayan Valley, Cordillera Administrative Region, Bicol Region, Aurora, and Quezon will experience cloudy skies with rains brought about by the Northeast Monsoon (Amihan). Residents were advised to be alert for possible flash floods or landslides that may result from moderate to at times heavy rains.

Metro Manila and the rest of Luzon will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated light rains due to the Amihan, but no significant impact is expected.

Meanwhile, the rest of Mindanao may have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers or thunderstorms due to the easterlies. Flash floods or landslides may possibly result due to severe thunderstorms.

Coastal waters will be rough in the northern and eastern sections of Luzon, and moderate to rough in the rest of Luzon and the eastern section of Visays.A s

The rest of the country on the other hand will enjoy slight to moderate coastal waters.
