Cloudy skies, rains expected over parts of PH

The shear line and Northeast Monsoon (Amihan) will continue to affect parts of Luzon while the Intertropical Convergence Zone (ITCZ) will bring rains over Southern Mindanao, PAGASA said Monday afternoon.
In its 4 p.m. daily weather forecast, the state weather bureau said Batanes, Cagayan, Isabela, and Apayao will see cloudy skies with rains due to the Amihan.
The shear line will bring cloudy skies with scattered rains and isolated thunderstorms over Aurora and Quezon.
Cloudy skies with scattered rains and thunderstorms will persist over Zamboanga Peninsula, Sultan Kudarat, Sarangani, Basilan, Sulu, and Tawi-Tawi due to the ITCZ.
These moderate to at times heavy rains may trigger flash floods and landslides, PAGASA warned.
The Amihan will also cause partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated light rains over the Ilocos Region and the rest of the Cagayan Valley and Cordillera Administrative Region.
Metro Manila and the rest of the country will experience partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers or thunderstorms due to the easterlies.
During severe thunderstorms, flash floods or landslides may occur.
State meteorologists also said winds will be moderate to strong while coastal waters will be moderate to rough over northern Luzon.
The rest of the country will experience light to moderate wind conditions and slight to moderate coastal water conditions.
Sunrise in Metro Manila will be 6:18 a.m. on Wednesday. — Mariel Celine Serquiña/BAP, GMA Integrated News
