3 weather systems affecting several areas in PH

The shear line and Northeast Monsoon (Amihan) will bring rains over parts of Luzon while an Intertropical Convergence Zone (ITCZ) will bring similar conditions to Southern Mindanao, PAGASA said Monday afternoon.

In its weather forecast, the state weather bureau said cloudy skies with rains will persist over Batanes, Cagayan, and Apayao due to the Amihan.

Isabela and Aurora will see cloudy skies with scattered rains and isolated thunderstorms due to the shear line.

The ITCZ will bring cloudy skies with scattered rains and thunderstorms over Sultan Kudarat, Sarangani, Basilan, Sulu, and Tawi-Tawi.

These moderate to at times heavy rains may trigger flash floods or landslides.

Partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers or thunderstorms will be observed over Metro Manila and the rest of the country due to the Easterlies.

These conditions may result in severe thunderstorms that could trigger flash floods or landslides.

State meteorologists also said Northern Luzon will experience moderate to strong wind conditions and moderate to rough coastal water conditions.

Winds will be light to moderate while coastal waters will be slight to moderate throughout the rest of the country.

Sunrise in Metro Manila will be at 6:19 a.m. on Tuesday —Mariel Celine Serquiña/RF, GMA Integrated News
