Shear line, amihan, easterlies to bring cloudy skies, scattered rains over parts of PH

The Shear Line will be affecting Visayas and the eastern section of Southern Luzon while the Northeast Monsoon (amihan) will continue to affect the rest of Luzon as the easterlies bring cloudy skies with scattered rains over Caraga and Davao region on Thursday, PAGASA reported.

Bicol Region, Eastern Visayas, Laguna, Quezon, Oriental Mindoro, Marinduque, Romblon, Aklan, and Capiz will have cloudy skies with scattered rains and isolated thunderstorms due to the Shear Line with possible flash floods or landslides occurring due to moderate to heavy with at times intense rains.

Caraga, Davao de Oro, and Davao Oriental cloudy skies with scattered rains and thunderstorms due to the Easterlies with flash floods or landslides possibly occurring due to moderate to at times heavy rains.

Cagayan Valley, Cordillera Administrative Region, and Aurora will have cloudy skies with rains due to the Northeast Monsoon with the possibility that flash floods or landslides will occur due to moderate to at times heavy rains.

Metro Manila and the rest of Luzon will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated light rains due to the Northeast Monsoon but this will not have a significant impact in these areas.

The rest of the country will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers or thunderstorms due to the Easterlies will possible flash floods or landslides occurring during severe thunderstorms.

The wind speed forecast for Northern Luzon and the eastern sections of Central Luzon, Southern Luzon, and Visayas istrong to gale moving in the east to northeast direction while coastal waters will be rough to very rough.

The eastern section of Mindanao and the rest of Luzon will experience moderate to strong wind speed moving northeastward with moderate to rough coastal waters.

The rest of the country will experience light to moderate wind speed moving in the northeast to east direction with slight to moderate coastal waters.
