Easterlies to affect Visayas, Mindanao

Multiple weather systems may bring rainy conditions over several parts of the country, according to PAGASA’s daily weather forecast on Wednesday afternoon.

Mindanao, Eastern Visayas, Central Visayas, and Negros Island Region may experience cloudy skies with scattered rains and thunderstorms due to the easterlies.

The Northeast Monsoon (Amihan) may bring cloudy skies with rains over Batanes and partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated light rains over the Ilocos Region, while the shear line may cause cloudy skies with scattered rain showers and isolated thunderstorms over the rest of Cagayan Valley, Cordillera Administrative Region, Bicol Region, Aurora, Quezon, Oriental Mindoro, Marinduque, and Romblon.

The rest of the country may experience partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers or thunderstorms due to localized thunderstorms.

Flash floods or landslides may occur due to these weather conditions.

Meanwhile, the northern and western sections of Northern Luzon will have strong to gale-force winds with rough to very rough waters.

The rest of Luzon will have moderate to strong winds with moderate to rough waters, while the rest of the country will experience light to moderate winds with slight to moderate coastal waters.
