Cloudy skies, rains seen across PH due to easterlies, amihan
Two weather systems —easterlies and Northeast Monsoon or amihan — prevailing in the country are expected to bring cloudy skies and rains to Luzon, Visayas and Mindanao, according to PAGASA in its 4 a.m. bulletin.
Eastern Visayas, Caraga, Davao Region, and SOCCSKSARGEN will experience cloudy skies with scattered rains and thunderstorms due to the easterlies.
Amihan will bring cloudy skies with rains in Cagayan Valley, Cordillera Administrative Region, Bicol Region, Aurora, Quezon, Oriental Mindoro, Marinduque, and Romblon.
Metro Manila and the rest of Luzon will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated light rains brought by the Northeast Monsoon.
The rest of the country will also have cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rainshowers or thunderstorms triggered by the easterlies.
PAGASA also said that no low pressure areas are being monitored for tropical cyclone formation as of 2 a.m. of January 15, 2025.
