Easterlies, Amihan to bring more rain over parts of PH

The Easterlies and the Northeast Monsoon (Amihan) will bring rainy skies over parts of the country, according to PAGASA’s daily weather forecast on Tuesday afternoon.

The forecast predicted Eastern Visayas, Caraga, Davao Region, and SOCCSKSARGEN will bring cloudy skies with scattered rains and thunderstorms due to the easterlies.

The Northeast Monsoon will cause cloudy skies with rains over Cagayan Valley, Cordillera Administrative Region, Bicol Region, Aurora, Quezon, Laguna, Oriental Mindoro, Marinduque, and Romblon, and partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated light rains over Metro Manila and the rest of Luzon.

The easterlies will also cause partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers or thunderstorms over the rest of the country.

Possible flash floods or landslides may occur in some areas as a result of said weather conditions.

Meanwhile, strong to gale-force winds with rough to very rough winds may be felt over the eastern sections of Southern Luzon, Visayas, and Mindanao.

Northern Luzon and Central Luzon will have moderate to strong winds with moderate to rough waters, while the rest of the country will see light to moderate winds with slight to moderate coastal waters.

Sunrise in Metro Manila will be at 6:25 a.m. on Wednesday. —Jiselle Anne Casucian/RF, GMA Integrated News
