Shear line to bring rains over Southern Luzon, Eastern Visayas

The shear line will bring cloudy to rainy weather over Southern Luzon and Eastern Visayas, the state weather bureau PAGASA said in its forecast on Saturday afternoon.

Eastern Visayas, the Bicol Region, and MIMAROPA will experience cloudy skies with scattered rains and isolated thunderstorms due to the shear line, while the easterlies will cause cloudy skies with scattered rains and isolated thunderstorms in the Davao Region and SOCCSKSARGEN.

The Northeast Monsoon (Amihan) will bring cloudy skies with rains over Cagayan Valley, the Cordillera Administrative Region, Aurora, and Quezon, and partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated light rains over Metro Manila and the rest of Luzon.

The rest of Visayas and Mindanao will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers or thunderstorms caused by the easterlies.

Meanwhile, Northern Luzon and the eastern sections of Central and Southern Luzon will have strong to gale-force winds with rough to very rough waters.

The rest of Luzon and Visayas will have moderate to strong winds with moderate to rough seas, while the rest of the country will experience light to moderate winds with slight to moderate coastal waters.

Sunrise in Metro Manila will be at 6:24 a.m. on Sunday. —Jiselle Anne Casucian/VBL, GMA Integrated News
